The Founder

 

Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi born in Yanbu in 10th of January 1959, and from his childhood he was an assistant to his forgiven father Mr. Mansour Mohammed Higgi, which he worked in import and trading activity in foodstuffs, marine agencies, and custom clearance, which held to increase the passion of Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi regarding this work which lead him to decide to establish a custom clearance office in Yanbu Port (1983), than, he opened a branch in Jeddah Islamic Port. Clearance office was active in the field of clearance and land transport for grains and fertilizers imports for major agricultural companies in KSA and other major industrial companies as well, where custom clearance office was distinguished in by clearing imports of project’ goods, needed equipment for factories establishing, for raw materials, and then custom clearance and sea freight for outgoing products.

In 1991, Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi added marine agency and ship catering activities. This achievement lead to increase in institution ability to provide complete logistics services to the clients from agricultural and industrial companies, as it maintained providing uniqueness services which possess upon clients satisfaction.

In 1993, and in order to meet the contracting requirements with SMARC company, Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi opened institution branches on these ports: Duba, Rabigh, and Jazan where they provided marine agency and custom clearance services with the same quality. Since that date, Faisal Mansour Higgi Institution (FMHI) became the only one that has branches in all Saudi Ports along the Red Sea coast.

Then, the contract with SMARC company moved to Vela International Company where FMHI provided logistics services for its marine fleet, until its merged with Bahri Company in 2014. And the relationship continues with Bahri and company’s fleet manager (Mideast) in Dubai until now.

And in 1994, FMHI became a member in BIMCO organization as an approved navigation agent in KSA Ports which located in Res Sea coast.

Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi was keen to improve the quality of performance level, where the institution got the ISO certificate in 1998 and it was the first marine agency in KSA who got quality certificate.

As Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi provided many activities in the boards of directors in Yanbu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also many charitable activities in Yanbu.

In 2014, Mr. Faisal Mansour Higgi decided to change FMHI name to be Faisal M. Higgi & Associates Co. Ltd., and still the company operating to the present time with the same activity, maintaining its contractual obligations to its local and international clients. And since that date, Mr. Abdulaziz Faisal Higgi has been appointed to be its General Manager.
